Topo Gigio was the lead character of a children's puppet show on Italian and Spanish television in the early 1960s. The character, created by artist Maria Perego, debuted on Italian television in 1959 and has been customarily voiced by actor Giuseppe "Peppino" Mazzullo. The Italian nickname "Gigi" is a derivative of Luigi ("Louis"),[1] so Topo Gigio could be translated as Louie Mouse.

The gavel & the 'sound block' for judge :)
Hi, everyone
Today I have a gavel and "sound block" for judge.
Here is a little history:
The wooden mallet that a judge uses in court is called a gavel.
Judges have them as a symbol of authority and also a forceful signal - they hit the sound block with the gavel to signal that the court is in session. They also hit it when the court is adjourned, when a sentence is passed and to demand order and silence in the courtroom.
The gavel has been used to control meetings since the middle ages and there are rules for its use in 'Robert's Rules of Order'.

I made a gavel & sound block by my husband request. Yarns used light and dark brown.
Hook 3.5mm/E/4. The gavel & sound block sizes are as the same as real ones.
I made them probably in 3 hours.

Sakura - Cherry Blossom
Cherry blossoms are a symbolic flower of the spring,
Their life is very short.
After their beauty peaks around two weeks, the blossoms start to fall.
During this season in Japan, people like to have cherry blossom parties with colleagues,
friends, and family.
They enjoy eating, drinking, and barbecuing underneath the cherry blossoms.
We call this custom hanami. Hanami literally means “watching blossoms,”
and the tradition can be traced back at least a thousand years.
We bring cooked meals, alcohol, snacks, and sweets, like a potluck party.
Schools and offices hold welcome parties during hanami,
a chance for people to bond and meet new friends.
From here:
Therefore, I decided it would a good gift for a friend.

hard to tell what he is all about.

A plant crochet "Passion Purple".
Growing purple passion houseplants (Gynura aurantiaca) offers an unusual
and attractive houseplant for the brightly lit indoor area. The young purple passion plant has velvety leaves; thick, deep purple hairs on a green colored leaf and a cascading habit, making it perfect for an inside hanging basket. Purple passion houseplants have been used for indoor decoration for more than 200 years and grow wild in some southern areas. Purple passion plant stands out from other houseplants because its green leaves are covered in soft purple hairs, giving the plant a purple sheen (and it's the source of the plant's other common name: velvet plant). Purple passion plant has an upright habit when it's young, but becomes more spreading and almost vine-like as it matures. This makes it fun in hanging baskets, as well as trained up small trellises.
My latest work "Passion Purple".
Made for very good person.
Thank you author for pattern.
